Lorena Nava
Lorena Angelica Nava is a recent graduate from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is currently taking a gap year to study for the LSAT and apply for law school. Her favorite dish is mole. Lorena enjoys reading classic literature and watching 1980s horror films.
Hector Soto
Hector will be graduating June 2023, with his Bachelor's Degree in Communications in Media and a double minor in Public Relations and Sports Communications. In his free time, he loves to attend sporting events and enjoy the outdoors. Working with Paz Mental has shone a new light on not only himself but the community he serves.
Elizabeth Beck
Eli Bec (they/them) is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Chicago studying Sociology, Latin American & Caribbean Studies, and Visual Arts. At LOLK, they worked as a Mental Health Intern in the summer of 2022 and helped coordinate the Paz Mental program. Eli will be pursuing an MSW at The Smith College School of Social Work this summer, with a specialization in clinical social work.
Sharon Alvarez
Sharon Alvarez holds a bachelor of science degree in psychology from UIC and is currently pursuing her master's degree at The Chicago School of Psychology. She plans on becoming a clinical psychologist and is passionate about using her degrees to help minority communities with less access to mental health resources.
